230-Hour Teacher Training

230 Hour Teacher Training

Master the fundamentals | Learn from the best

We invite you to compare

Let’s face it, yoga teacher trainings are not all created equally. Research indicates there are an unexpectedly high number of students who retake their 200 Hour program with another school because their original school did not adequately prepare them to teach a well-rounded, safe class.

Over the past 17 years we’ve developed a format and curriculum that empowers you to teach yoga to any body, anywhere.

Are you choosing a program because it promises to get you in front of students faster? Or because it’s a price that seems too good to be true? What’s most important in choosing a training is; its curriculum, history, reputation and the experience of the faculty and staff. We’re confident our 230-Hour program will give you the best foundation possible and set you up for success, in whichever style of yoga you feel called to pursue.

History, Longevity and Reputation

We’ve been providing education, support and guidance for teachers-in-training since opening our doors in 2000. With over a dozen trainings yearly, it’s safe to say we are the experts. YCM continues to support our students as they go on to teach, or advance their studies with our 300 hour, 1000 hour and specialty training programs.

Faculty & Staff

Our knowledgable and devoted faculty and staff distinguishes our program from all the others. All of our teachers are 500 Hour Certified and masters in their respective lineages. Which means you’ll always be taught yoga with integrity, backed by decades of personal experience. Together, you’ll develop your personal practice, find your unique teaching voice, and learn to build creative, safe and authentic sequences.

Our curriculum is a well-rounded, truly comprehensive experience – covering a multitude of yoga styles and traditions. Nowhere else can you learn Ashtanga, in it’s tradition, from a student of K Pattabhi Jois and Sanskrit with a PhD level teacher from India in the same week.

You’ll learn from a carefully selected list of required readings, and work with your peers to build a reference manual that you’ll be able to use in your teachings for years to come.

Program Length

Our Teacher Trainings run 9 – 12 months — allowing you to fully integrate yoga into your everyday life. Our students leave the program transformed, inspired, and ready to teach yoga from an authentic and heart-felt place.
