Meet our AMAZING teacher, Michele!
In search of inner peace, Michele began practicing Kundalini Yoga in 2000 during college. Her regular practice provided her an essential outlet for letting go of all the emotions that no longer served her highest good. When she consistently brought herself to her yoga mat to practice, she found deeper meaning in her choices and relationships. This devotion opened her heart to herself, allowing her to love entirely.
She completed the Level I Teacher Training Certification in November 2010. She graduated from the University of Minnesota with a B.S. in Nursing in 2004, and from Augsburg College with a M.A. in Nursing in 2009. She is a Registered Nurse licensed in both Minnesota and Wisconsin.
She is a RYT 200 with the Yoga Alliance and a member of the International Kundalini Yoga Teachers Association. Michele is deeply passionate about helping people to open their hearts to gratitude and love through the use of pranayam, meditation and asana. She believes Kundalini Yoga has a unique way of allowing people to connect to their inner beings and listen to their heart. Her teaching style blends her knowledge of human physiology and energy anatomy, with a little bit of humor, and she loves to play the Healing Gong.
5 of the Hardest things Yoga has taught her:
Yoga has taught me being present. Yoga has taught me how forgive, not only myself but all aspects of life. Yoga has taught me compassion for self, real compassion that is integrated into my self-talk. Yoga has taught me that I have the ability to not give up. Yoga has given me pure joy.
One thing she wishes everyone knew about yoga
Yoga is such a useful tool to connect with self.
