About

Becky began practicing yoga while living in Southern California, over 10 years ago. She felt an immediate connection with the practice- as if meeting an old friend. Her love for yoga has been extremely fulfilling and personally rewarding, and she knew she needed to share it with others.

Upon returning to Minnesota, she began the Teacher Training program at The Yoga Center of Minneapolis and completed her 230-Hour Certification as a Registered Yoga Teacher. Since then, she has continued developing as a teacher through trainings in Prenatal Yoga, Yoga for babies and children, Yin Yoga, and Mediation. Becky believes that we are never “done” learning.

Currently, Becky is being mentored by Kevin Kortan, as part of her Yoga Therapist Training through the Yoga Well Institute.  The training in this program has been handed down through the holistic and individualistic approach of the Viniyoga Tradition from Sri T. Krishnamacharya and his son, Mr. TKV Desikachar.  Becky is honored to be able to learn the tools of Yoga Therapy from Dolphi Wertenbaker, M.D. and Chase Bossart, M.A., as well as her mentor, Kevin.

Becky works with clients, one-on-one, by incorporating the many facets of yoga as a tool for healing and wellness.  She also teaches group classes, where you will find much of the same approach, with an emphasis on breath-based movement, mantra, mudra, and meditation.

Becky is inspired by the way yoga meets us exactly where we are. Because of this, she believes that Yoga is for everyone and every-“body”.
