Wendy was first introduced to yoga in 2001. Having been a dancer since the age of 3 she had a lot of body awareness and felt a connection to yoga immediately. When pregnant with her first child in 2003 she found The Yoga Center of Minneapolis. It was the only yoga studio at the time to offer prenatal yoga. It was here that she began a deeper journey into her yoga practice with her teacher and mentor Coleen Elwood. Using yoga as a tool for labor and delivery for both of her children, Wendy realized the real power of this ancient wisdom.
Wendy graduated from the 230 hour teacher training at The Yoga Center of Minneapolis in 2011. Wendy is passionate about sharing yoga with all people. She has studied adaptive yoga with Matthew Sanford, founder of Mind Body Solutions and assists him in the adaptive yoga class for people with disability at The Courage Center.
Wendy not only treasures the mind, body, and spiritual connection her yoga practice has given her but also treasures the connections it has given her with others and the wonderful community it provides.
