Brianna Wieser

Brianna Wieser RDN, LD, RYT-500

Brianna began practicing yoga in 2002 after 12 years of performing ballet, jazz, tap, pointe, and

contemporary dance around the country. Yoga immediately made her feel as though she had a

peaceful and therapeutic environment in which to practice self-care, self-love, and self-

acceptance.

In 2005, after a year long dance contract in Japan, Brianna completed the Yoga Works- Los

Angeles 500 hr Teacher Training and Professional Program. Her mentor was Intermediate

Senior Iyengar teacher, Lisa Walford. Since then, Brianna has taught yoga in California, New

York, and Minnesota and is happy to have The Yoga Center of Minneapolis as her home studio.

Brianna’s classes emphasize the intimate connection between the body, breath, and brain

through slow and mindful movement. She focuses on safety through proper alignment, works

dynamically to support the joints, and avoids postures that are contraindicated for the majority.

Brianna aims to empower each practitioner to personalize their experience in the room and

learn how yoga can come to support their physical, mental, and emotional/spiritual needs.

In addition to her background in yoga, Brianna is a Mayo Clinic trained Registered

Dietitian/Nutritionist with a B.S. in Nutrition and Dietetics from New York University. She lives in

the the East Calhoun neighborhood of Uptown with her husband, Michael who is a professional

actor and ice cream aficionado.
