How to Prepare for Your Yoga Class

  • If you’re new to YCM, please arrive early to fill out a New Student Form, or click here to fill out and bring with you.
  • Yoga is best practiced with bare feet and on an empty stomach. (Avoid eating 1-2 hours beforehand)
  • Avoid wearing perfumes or other fragrances, or smoking cigarettes before class.
  • Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to stretch easily.
  • We encourage you to bring your own yoga mat, and do provide free loaner mats and props. (also available for purchase at both studios).
  • Please silence mobile phones while at the studio.
  • Please inform your teacher if you’re injured, pregnant or have any medical condition that requires caution.
  • Please enter the yoga studio quietly to support our meditative environment, as most likely, somewhere someone is in savasana.
  • Late arrivals are honored up to 10 minutes after start time. If possible please call ahead and we’ll put a mat out for you.
  • We encourage online check-in prior to class so that we may accommodate everyone. Registering online check-in saves your spot in class. Be sure to arrive at least 5 minutes early.
  • P.S. Always stay for savasana (for maximum benefit)!
