Amanda Gurgone
Amanda is eternally grateful to her mother for introducing her to yoga in the late 90's. In the beginning, her practice kept her free of injuries as a competitive volleyball player in college and a then as a triathlete after college. It also offered relief and healing to what seemed like a chronically tight lower back, hamstrings and hips. Eventually, her yoga practice became way to create space in her mind and teach her how to reconnect with her inner joy day after day.
Amanda became a certified yoga instructor in 2008 through the Yoga Center of Minneapolis. As a life-long student she continues her yoga studies in Anusara (a form of Hatha yoga), accumulating over 200 hours with local teachers and with nationally recognized teachers Desiree Rumbaugh, Jordan Kirk, Martin Kirk, Todd Norian, and Noah Maze. Her classes are always light hearted and free spirited.
